Characterization of Legal Psychology through psychology journals included in Criminology & Penology and Law categories of Web of Science

The objective of this work is to learn about the most relevant aspects that characterize contemporary Legal Psychology throughout the study of journals included in the WoS between the years 2009 and 2014 related with the area of Psychology. The number of selected publications is 16, mainly from the USA and Great Britain. The results show an increase in the number of works and authors, a greater collaboration and a growth in medium productors. It exists a major presence of men in editorial boards and as authors, outstanding the figures of T. Ward in 2009 and A. Vrij in 2014. The Spanish legal system provides specific protection for victims of gender violence, the paper addresses the legal situation of minors who are dependent on women victims of this type of violence. It analyses their procedural situation and, in particular, the criminal remedies for their protection. In a particular way, the aggravating circumstance of committing the act in their presence and the penalties that affect parental authority are examined.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo conocer la prevalencia de la violencia de género en la universidad de Valencia, el perfil de la víctima, recursos y creencias sobre la violencia en la comunidad universitaria. La muestra está formada por 3.404 sujetos pertenecientes al personal docente e investigador, el personal de administración y servicios y estudiantes. Los resultados apuntan una incidencia de la violencia de género del 20.03%. El perfil de la víctima es el de mujer, estudiante, sin hijos, con una percepción del riesgo leve o moderado, que no denuncia y con repercusiones a nivel psicológico. The purpose of the essay is to overcome interpretative dualism between Italian people and Serbian people about gender violence against women. In a comparative approach it will find elements of continuity between the decline of male domination in Italy and the decline of patriarchal power in Serbia as a result of a variety of historical and social causes that, inside the paper, are explained.
